President's in Parody: The Clintons Meet House of Cards

Today is former President Bill Clinton's 69th birthday. Last year, for his 68th birthday, the The Clinton Foundation released a special video, in which actor Kevin Spacey began in the role of President Francis Underwood, a role he plays on the Netflix series “House of Cards. In the clip, Spacey, as Underwood, conspires with former president Clinton to figure out what Clinton’s wife, Hillary, will be getting him for his birthday. Spacey calls the former Secretary of State from the Oval Office using his best Bill Clinton voice to inquire about the gift. Hillary Clinton replies coyly by saying, “This is a very personal decision that I will make when I’m ready.” This was a reference to where she was at the time on the question of whether or not she would be running for President in 2016, and was similar to answers she had previously given to questions about her presidential aspirations. The video concludes with a “House of Cards”-style text conversation between Bill and Spacey.
