We spent our summer vacation in Hyannis, MA! We live in New England, so Cape Cod is the obvious destination choice. We had other reasons for choosing Hyannis, but I'll never say no to a place with presidential history, even if I've been before!
We took a duck tour which took us past several notable locations including the armory, site of JFK's nomination acceptance speech. It's not liking hot these days and I didn't take a picture. Our duck also took us past the church where Rose attended mass.
Fun side notes: at the museum (pictured below) I bought 2 placemats, one with all the VPs and one with all the First Ladies. And in our rented cottage, there was some leisure time reading including a book on Joan, Ethel, and Jackie. I skimmed it as it was very thick and I didn't have much time but I enjoyed that much :)
Sorry if my pics are sized wrong, they're strait off my phone. The first is outside the JFK museum and the second is at the JFK memorial which is right next to the beach and more important to my 5yo, "HAS A FOUNTAIN!!!"
Happy summer and happy geeking, everyone!
