Potus Geeks Photo: JFK and the Falcon

If anyone here has a twitter account (where we're @Potus_Geeks), may I recommend that you follow author Michael Beschloss (@BeschlossDC). He's a presidential historian, a Harvard MBA and the author or editor of these ten books:

1. Jacqueline Kennedy: Historic Conversations on Life with John F. Kennedy (2011), introduced and annotated by Beschloss, a #1 New York Times bestseller.
2. Presidential Courage: Brave Leaders and How they Changed America, 1789-1989 (2007) a New York Times bestseller for several months and a #1 Washington Post bestseller.
3. The Conquerors: Roosevelt, Truman and the Destruction of Hitler's Germany, 1941-1945 (2002) a New York Times bestseller for several months and Amazon's bestselling history book of the year.
4. and 5. Taking Charge (1997) and Reaching for Glory (2001), edited transcriptions of Lyndon Johnson's conversations, as captured by his taping system, with historical annotation and commentary. A third Johnson volume is forthcoming.
6. At the Highest Levels: The Inside Story of the End of the Cold War (1993); with Strobe Talbott.
7. The Crisis Years: Kennedy and Khrushchev, 1960-1963 (1991)
8. Eisenhower: A Centennial Life (1990)
9. Mayday: Eisenhower, Khrushchev and the U-2 Affair (1986)
10. Kennedy and Roosevelt: The Uneasy Alliance (1980) which began as Beschloss's senior honors thesis at Williams College.

Every day he tweets out several wonderful historic photographs, which is where I yoinked this one from. He describes the photo with this tweet: "Here in Colorado Springs, JFK is introduced to falcon mascot of the Air Force Academy, 50 yrs ago this week."
